Lakshmi Rai on the other had has just bagged a Tamil film titled “Aranamanai” in the directionof Sundar C .This film also has Hansika playing the lead role. She is presently busy shooting for three films in Tamil.

She is eagerly waiting for the release of her dubbed film “Veerappan” opposite Arjun which is set to release on 20th of this month.

Ranbir clears air about Katrina, engagement & more

Recently at an event, the B-town handsome Ranbir Kapoor didn't miss his chance to give media his piece of mind over the recent gossips revolving him and Katrina Kaif.

Ranbir stated he was out of India, shooting seriously in Sri Lanka for almost one and half months and so he was completely unaware of the rumours and whatever that was written about him and the actress. Not in a mood to talk on his personal life, Ranbir maintained, "I think there is a right time to speak about everything. But right now I am consumed by my life..be it my professional or personal life - that I don't want the spotlight more on that."

The 'Rockstar' famed actor specially clarified that all the engagement stories are untrue and he is not going to exchange rings with his alleged girlfriend Katrina. Ranbir, however, revealed that Katrina is quite special to him.

He also stated that he can give his life to his family, Ayan Mukherji (director), Katrina, Rohit Dhawan, Imtiaz Ali, Anurag basu and his school friend Aisha Divetri.

Kochadaiyaan to release on Rajinikanth's birthday 12.12.2013

The long-awaited Rajinikanth starrer Kochadaiyaan, his first release in 3 years following his illness and slow recovery, has finally found a release date. The long-anticipated spectacle is all set to be released on 12 December, the day Rajinikanth turns 63.

We've heard a lot of false release dates for Kochadaiyaan for the last one and a half years. But now finally the film's co-producer Dr. Murli Manohar confirms, "We are aiming at a 12 December, 2013 release for the film, finally. It's been a long struggle. But we wanted Rajiniji's fans to get the most perfect film after a 3-year wait. I think we've achieved what we set out to do."

The film's music by A R Rahman will be released in October.

The release of Kochadaiyaan in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and several other languages including Japanese makes it the most global Rajinikanth release ever.

It looks like Deepika Padukone who plays Rajinikanth's female lead in Kochadaiyaan would have 4 back-to-back blockbusters in 2013. While Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Chennai Express have already smashed box-office records, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram Leela and Kochadaiyaan which Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya directs would consolidate Deepika's position as the no.1 Bollywood diva.

Interestingly, this special-effects laden action film Kochadaiyaan comes just a week ahead of Yash Raj'sDhoom 3 which releases on 20 December.

Amitabh Bachchan to cut ribbon for 19th Kolkata International Film Festival

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan will inaugurate the 19th Kolkata International Film Festival in the month of November. Mamta Banerjee, Chief Minister of Kolkata has made an official declaration regarding the same, “I am very happy and delighted to share with you all, that Shri Amitabh Bachchan ji, a great legend, has kindly accepted our invitation to inaugurate the 19th Kolkata International Film Festival to be held on 10th November, 2013.”

Bollywood celebrities like, Shah Rukh Khan, Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are also expected to be present at the film festival. CM Mamta Banerjee has said that she is making efforts to get whole Bachchan family at the event and at the same time she said that state’s brand ambassador SRK is also likely to be present there. If all these celebs come in the film festival then it would be really amazing for their fans to see all of them on the same platform together.

Varun Sandesh is the blue eyed boy of Telugu Film Industry. Like a never tiring stream of river flowing through crests, troughs, floods and draughts, Irrespective of success or failure, this guy manages to open and close film projects at the flip of a hand. 'Nuvvala... Nenila...', the actor's coming up film is being produced by Induri Raja Sekhar Reddy on Amogh Creations banner, directed by 'Mem Vayasuku Vachcham' and 'Priyatama Neevachata Kushalama' fame Trinadha Rao Nakkina has finished the shooting part except for a song and the producers are planning to launch the audio composed by 'Paisa' fame Sai Karthik in October. Poorna of Seema Tapakay fame is the female lead in the film.

Producer said 'This is a feel good film in which Varun will be seen quite away from his previous films. He is an NRI young man who comes to India on a mission and falls in love. The story is about how he achieves his love and his mission too. Poorna as the heroine did a splendid job, cinematography by Gnana Sekhar of Vedam and KVJ fame will be clearly spotted. Director is carving a visual poetry out of the story ably supported by music from Sai Karthik...'
