Elizabeth Berkley is not the least bit curious about seeing her life unfold on screen in Lifetime’s upcoming unauthorized “Saved by the Bell” movie.
Berkley, who played Jessie Spano on the 1990s hit series, told reporters at a dance gala in Los Angeles Saturday, “I’m not really curious about it. We know the lives we led. I have no idea what their picture of it is.”
‘Saved by the Bell’: Where Are They Now?
The TV movie centers on the behind-the-scenes drama of the series’ six young stars: Mario Lopez, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Lark Voorhies, Tiffani Thiessen, Dustin Diamond and Berkley, who will be played by “Supernatural” actress Tiera Skovbye.
Diamond, who played Screech, wrote about widespread drug use and sexual escapades by the cast in his 2009 tell-all book “Behind the Bell.” But, according to Buzzfeed, Lifetime’s movie, scheduled to air Sept. 1, is based on interviews conducted for the film.
