Anushka wins IIFA award without nomination

Actress Anushka Shetty is one of the most happening stars of Tollywood. Her unmatched versatility and dedication to portray a role is being lauded by all sections of the people. Her intense performance in Rudhramadevi and stunning deglamourised act in Baahubali have charmed the audiences like never before. With Baahubali being nominated in about 14 categories the audiences were surprised to see Anushka’s name not featuring in a single category in the upcoming IIFA awards Utsavam nominations.

There is no doubt that Anushka has carried Rudhramadevi on her shoulders and she was also instrumental in the stupendous success of Baahubali. But why Anushka is overlooked? Wonders movie buffs. According to sources, Anushka stood as critics favourite and she will be walking away with a special award at IIFA and hence she was not nominated. Well, that’s really special, what say folks?

Memu Saitam' cricket teams : Kajal, Anushka, Rakul preet singh

Telugu Film Industry has come together to raise funds for the Hudhud cyclone relief and as part of the 'Memu Saitam' telethon event, which will be held on November 30th, Telugu film celebs will play charity cricket matches at Kotla Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy Stadium in Hyderabad.

Four teams will participate in this tournament. Victory Venkatesh, Nagarjuna, NTR and Ram Charan will lead the teams.

A draw was held to select players for the teams and the details of the players are here.

Anushka Sharma misses Italy

Anushka Sharma, who will soon be seen in the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Bombay Velvet and Aamir Khan starrer PK, has been having a ball of a time shooting for Zoya Akhtar's next Dil Dhadkne Do. Zoya and team recently finished the shoot of the film and returned back to Mumbai. Anushka Sharma, who seemed to be missing the European sunshine while it rains in Mumbai, posted a pic of herself from Italy on twitter.

Tweeting about the same, Anushka Sharma added an image of herself in Italy saying, "It's pouring in Mumbai .. Kind of miss sunshine ..Pic courtesy, portovenere, Italy". The actress was recently spotted in pictures alongside Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra while shooting for Zoya Akhtar's film Dil Dhadakne Do on a cruise-liner.

Dil Dhadakne Do is said to revolve around a dysfunctional Punjabi family on a cruise trip. Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, the film features an ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Anushka Sharma, Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah and is slated to release on June 5, 2015.

Tollywood’s darling Anushka is certainly on a high these days. With her big projects up for release in the coming few months she’s certainly excited. Anushka’s Secret Revealed!

That’s right! In a recent interview with a prominent media house, Anushka revealed the secret behind her popularity.
“The secret to my popularity is my smile. Smile is a universal language that is liked by everyone. I like to smile when I meet people and I become friends easily. That is the secret of my success.” said the vivacious diva.
Thinking about it in a detailed manner, it’s quite surprising to see Anushka’s popularity with the masses. She has been around for a long time in the industry. Many of her contemporaries came and vanished soon. But she stood tall! She is perhaps more popular today than she used to be.
Well, some say it’s also because of her glowing skin and fitness as she was a yoga instructor before and continues to practice yoga which is very much a part of her lifestyle.
Meanwhile, Anushka is busy juggling between her ambitious projects “Rudrama Devi”, “Lingaa” and “Baahubali”.

Mirchi completes 50 days in 238 centres

Mirchi, starring Young Rebel star Prabhas, Anushka and Richa Gangopadhyay has been running successfully. It completes 50 days in 238 centres by March 29th.

This is famous writer Koratala Siva's directional debut. V.Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Pramodh Uppalapati have produced the movie, under UV creations banner.

Prabhas' characterisation, his stylish looks and dialogues have hugely attracted the audience. The female leads have also contributed their bit. The direction, Satya Raj and Nadhiya's characters have also become the highlights of the movie. Devi Sri Prasad composed the music and it has been also a musical hit.
